39
Yep, today is the day. One more year until over the hill jokes kick in. Although I have heard that 40 is the new 30. Or do people just say that when they are about to turn 40 just to make themselves feel better? Not sure. Started out the day with breakfast with B (as any other day) and opened birthday cards and a gift from my beloved. It was a happy Buddha with a big old belly! It's tremendous and I love it! Thank you Miss B! (Although she never reads this tired old thing of a blog.) Her niece and nephews also sent cards that they made using the materials from a craft boxes we gave them for Christmas. They LOVE them and made some excellent cards. So very sweet of them to do. It was so great to start the day this way!
It's been a good year. Top event list:
- Got married! What an amazing celebration.
- Purchased our home.
- Kept sane at work with the ebb and flow of impending change.
- Deepened yoga practice.
- Continued running on a much more consistent basis than in 2006.
- Surrounded by wonderful, amazing friends! (Our chosen family.)
- Laughed a whole lot!
- Hawaii/P-town travel.
And many, many more I could list but don't want to go on and on. Here's to another great year!

Congrats!! and as someone who has already crossed that dark river, lemme tell ya sister, the view ain't half bad from this side (y'all look like little, immature ants.) Maybe you can pull yer rocking chair next to mine on the porch and we can shoot at the neighbor kids with buckshot ( or whatever non-lethal ammo you happen to have in yer purse.)

P: I've known you somethin like seven years now, and I've got something to say! You get better with every effen year. But always the same lovely Sweet P at the core. Emphasis on the sweet, with a huge side helping of generosity. Praise to Jeebus and Prairie du Sac for creating such a walking wonder, and making it wander to California. Big virtual hug and lookin' forward to celebrating many more of yer birthdays.
