Quick Update

Hello! Haven't had time to write. Life has been busy, busy, busy! Here is a brief synopsis:
  • We closed on the house. We are offical owners of 1/3 of a large victorian in San Francisco. I wrote the biggest check ever and hope that this is really the great investment everyone keeps telling me it is. At any rate, I will no longer have to write rent checks but will be writing a healthy mortgage each month. Looks like Miss B and I are in this place until we go to the home.
  • The Jelly Doughnut Factory has been talking about layoffs. It feels like Detroit and the auto industry. Attended a job fair today that was just strange. All of the sudden the jelly doughnuts need to be made overseas. Like other industries? Yes. Warm and fuzzy feelings? No. It's just strange to be telling people to go to these things and have no idea what is around the corner. Good thing I now have a mortgage. Or something.
  • I now oversee two jelly doughnut production areas rather than one. I am also in charge of a "culture change" and am bringing together two groups which don't want to be seen as one. It's hard. Work is hard. I am sleepy a lot.
  • Just finished with my very first FDA inspection SOLO! The training wheels came off and from what I hear, the Koreans were impressed. To be perfectly honest, I had no idea what I was doing and apparently fooled many. Bring on the FDA anytime. I am ready and know what I am talking about...at least for now.
  • I am getting married in two days. Yep. No doubt about it. Hitched. We really just wanted a big excuse to have a big party. So that is exactly what we will do! We spent a whole lot on alcohol but will be sure not to become messy brides. Just enough, right? We are so honored that our friends and family will be joining us on this special day. How wonderful. It's going to be fun! Looking forward to catching up with everyone and spending time with my special lady.
  • Going camping in Tahoe for 4 days after the wedding! YAY!
  • PRIDE weekend is just around the corner.
  • I have a fun medical prescription.

I am so sleepy. Must go to bed. Hope all is well with each and every one of you. (All two people who read this thing.) Can't wait to tell more stories about the big event. Hasta la pasta.
